there’s cars and there’s dumpsters.

Well, the story about our rental car hasn’t ended yet… After the blunder at the airport (see post of november 3rd) we discover after a few days that there’s something wrong with the right brake light. Thankfully the regular light works properly, but when I push the brakes the right back light goes of…:???:
A visit to Eldan in Tel Aviv is rewarded with a new lamp…apparently these lamps have 2 spirals and when one is broken the whole lamp will shortcircuit when you try to use the broken spiral…

The same day we hear something in the back of the car and discover that the lamp has already come loose… Well, we can fix that ourselves, no problem.

But in the following days I notice that there’s a problem with the brakes. As soon as we’ve been driving down for a while and I’ve been using the brakes a little more, they work less and less and at some point the whole car starts shaking when I push the brake. Since non-responding brakes aren’t my favorite surprise, I drive to Eldan again… where I get another car, again…but this time a real dumpster. De back seat is covered with stains and in the front everything is sticky. Of course I let myself be overbluffed and accept the car…but by the time I arrive at home I’ve decided to file a complaint. So I call Eldan headquarters…another hour later someone calls me back explaining I can come to get another car in Tel Aviv. A clean powerful car…lets hope this one will stay okay…
